BBC Burmese reporter got 10000 $
to do campaign for Myanmar Lower House Speaker.
“It is an agreement I heard that one reporter from BBC Burmese got 10,000,000 myanmar kyats to promote U Shwe Mann before the election campaign by using BBC Burmese Online and radio service. Some reporters including me heard that news in the last week. The amount of money is too much for us. He got that money from the son of the Speaker and reached agreement to use BBC as a tool for the campaign. But I can not confirm whether it is right or wrong but you can see the upcoming news coverage from BBC Burmese Service. If it is true, journalists community should take necessary action to this ethic violators” said an reporter who do not want to describe his name.
